The Voice Call Capture solution allows you to archive voice calls from the native mobile number, using the Mobile Capture application. The application can be used in Android and iOS devices.

You can use this application in any of the following scenarios:

  • The mobile device does not support call recording.

  • The carrier network does not support call recording.

  • Call recording is banned in the region where the devices are used.

Voice Call Capture records and forwards voice calls through a Smarsh recording gateway. Users can make outbound calls through the application. These calls are placed with the user's native mobile number.

To record incoming calls, the calls received on the user's native mobile number are forwarded to a Capture Mobile enterprise number allocated to the user. The user receives the call on the application and the call is recorded.

You can enable a call recording alert or a periodic beep tone to let the end users know that the call is being recorded.

Note

Voice Call Capture does not capture SMS and MMS. It can be combined with Android Capture or Carrier Capture to capture SMS and MMS.

You can choose to archive the captured communication to a supported third-party storage destination. To archive the captured communication, inform the Smarsh onboarding team during onboarding.
