Setting Up the Capture Mobile App for WhatsApp Business

WhatsApp Business communications are managed through the Capture Mobile app. For more information about the differences between WhatsApp Business and Capture Mobile communications in the app, see Understanding the Capture Mobile App.

This topic explains the prerequisites and procedure to install the Capture Mobile app for WhatsApp Business.

Prerequisites

Before installing the Capture Mobile app, ensure the following:

  • Your organization’s WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) is in the Connected status.

  • Users are registered under a Pro Manager on the Capture Mobile server.

  • Each user is assigned to an archive plan.

  • Each user has a unique phone number to receive the verification code during installation.

  • Each user has a registered and unique email address in the system.

  • WhatsApp API access is enabled for the user.

Installing the App

To install the app:

  1. Open Google Play Store on an Android device or App Store on an iOS device.

  2. Tap the Search tab.

  3. Enter Capture Mobile in the Search bar.

  4. Tap Install on an Android device or GET on an iOS device.

  5. To open the app:

    • On an Android device do one of the following:

      • Tap Open from the Play Store.

      • Tap the app icon on the device Home screen.

    • On an iOS device, tap the app icon on the device Home screen.

Signing In to the App

To sign in to the Capture Mobile app:

  1. Open the installed Capture Mobile app.

  2. Enter your phone number and tap SIGN IN.

    You will receive an activation code as an SMS on the number you have entered.

  3. Enter the activation code and tap ACTIVATE.

  4. Tap AGREE to allow Capture Mobile to collect your contact information.

  5. Tap Allow to enable Capture Mobile to access your contacts.

  6. Tap Yes to allow Capture Mobile to read your contacts names.

  7. Tap Allow to allow Capture Mobile to send you notifications.

  8. Turn off your device’s battery optimization setting to receive messages in sleep mode.

    1. Tap GO TO SETTINGS.

    2. Select the Capture Mobile app.

    3. Select Unrestricted as the battery optimization setting.

    4. Tap back to return to setting up the app.

  9. Enable permissions to display the Capture Mobile app over other apps.

    1. Tap OK.

    2. In the Appear on top screen, toggle the switch to on for Capture Mobile.

    3. Tap back to return to app settings.

The app is successfully installed and set up for your account and the Chats screen is displayed.
