Managing Groups

WebChat allows you to create user groups. Groups are helpful in sending the same message to a set of users. Any group member can:

• Create a new group

• Delete a group

• Exit from a group

Note

• When a member deletes or exits a group, the group is only removed from their own account. It remains accessible to other members.

• When a group admin deletes or exits the group, they have the option to:  

  • Assign a new admin: They can choose another member to become the new admin before permanently deleting or exiting the group.

  • Random Selection: If no new admin is assigned, the system will randomly select an existing member to become the new admin.

If you have created a group, you will be called the group owner and you will have the rights to:

• Add participants

• Edit group information

• Assign group admin role to other participants

• Delete participants
