Deleting Group

When a member deletes a group, the group is only removed from their own account. It remains accessible to other members.

When a group admin deletes the group, they have the option to:

  • Assign a new admin: They can choose another member to become the new admin before permanently deleting the group.

  • Random Selection: If no new admin is assigned, the system will randomly select an existing member to become the new admin.

To delete a group:

  1. Locate the group which you want to delete.

  2. Click on the group name or profile picture at the top of the chat window and then click Delete group in the Group info screen.
    Or
    Click on the ellipsis icon and then click Delete group.

  3. In the Delete group confirmation box, click Delete.

    The group is deleted.
