Sometimes, users see the following message in WhatsApp: "Waiting for this message. This may take a while."

This alert message is displayed in the following scenarios:
The user’s app is not updated.
The app of the user's contact(s) app is not updated.
The app of the user's contact was closed before the inscription process was finished.

When a delayed message is detected, WhatsApp Cloud Capture tries to archive the message for up to five days. The message content is populated in WhatsApp if the retry is successful. If the message was updated after the five days of retry, the message is not archived.
An alert is sent to the admin in the following scenarios:
First alert - When archiving messages is unsuccessful for 24 hours.
WhatsApp Cloud Capture waits for 24 hours to trigger the first alert as the issue is mostly resolved in this timeframe. The issue is resolved when either the message sender or receiver reopens or updates WhatsApp.Second alert - When archiving messages is unsuccessful for 72 hours.

Third alert - When archiving messages is unsuccessful after 120 hours (five days).
