Set Up Signal Capture Account in Android

Applicable to End Users

While setting up your Signal account in an Android device, you can back up chat history only to a local location on your device.

To set up Signal Capture installed on your Android device:

  1. Tap the installed app (CM for SGNL) to open it.

  2. Tap CONTINUE.

    The app requests access to the following:

    • To send you notifications

    • To access your contacts

    • To make and manage phone calls

  3. Tap Next.

  4. Tap Allow to allow the app to access your contacts, send you notifications, and manage and make phone calls.

     

     

  5. Enter your phone number and tap Next.
    Input phone number for verification, including country code for Israel.A one-time PIN is sent to your phone number.

  6. Enter the code and tap Activate to activate your account.

    Enter the one-time PIN sent via SMS or email to verify your account.
    A pop-up to verify your phone number appears.

  7. Ensure that you have entered the correct phone number and tap OK.

    The app verifies that you are human.

  8. Complete the verification as directed.

    A verification code is sent to your phone number or organization email, based on your organization's settings.

  9. Enter the verification code received.

  10. Set up your profile and tap Next.

    • First name is mandatory.

    • Last name is optional.

  11. Create a PIN to secure your account.
    The PIN can be numeric or alphanumeric and must contain at least four characters.

     

     

    Note

    If your PIN is not secure, you are prompted to set a stronger PIN.

  12. Enter a PIN and tap Next.

  13. Confirm your PIN and tap Next.

The home screen of Signal Capture is displayed. You have successfully set up your account.
