Troubleshooting Steps

The "Permissions are missing" notification is observed after upgrading the Android Capture.

If the upgraded version contains SDK version 33, the restrictions in SDK version 33 require users to reconfigure the call records folder.

Note

Users who archive voice call logs and call recordings will receive the notification.

The notification is sent every 30 minutes until the user reconfigures the call record folder.

To reconfigure the call records folder:

  1. Tap the "Permissions are missing" notification in the notification panel.
The Select Call Recording Folder window appears.

  2. Tap SELECT FOLDER.

  3. Choose a folder to save the call recordings that are to be picked up by the application.

  4. Tap USE THIS FOLDER.

You are prompted to allow the application to access the current and future content stored in the selected folder.

  5. Tap DONE.

If the user does not set the call records folder, the following event is sent to the archive destination:

The first event is sent 30 minutes after receiving the notification. Subsequent events are sent every 24 hours until the call records folder is set.

If a user does not set the calls record folder, voice calls are not recorded after the upgrade. Only messages are archived.
