Migrating to WhatsApp Phone Capture

To migrate to WhatsApp Phone Capture from native WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business (WhatsApp Cloud Capture session):

1. Check and delete the existing passkey.

   1. Open the native WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app.

   2. Tap Settings >> Account >> Passkeys.
      In the Manage your passkey screen, the existing passkey, if any, is displayed.
      

   3. Tap Delete.

   4. In the Delete passkey? screen, tap Delete to confirm deletion.
      

2. Install WhatsApp Phone Capture.

   Note

   While installing WhatsApp Phone Capture, Smarsh recommends that you keep the native WhatsApp installed on your device. If the native app remains installed, the verification code is sent to the native app.
   

3. During installation, set the app language to English.

4. Restore backup from Local Storage during installation.

5. Uninstall the native WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app once you are successfully connected.
