This topic explains how to make and receive calls on Voice Call Capture, and the call flow for each.

Call Flow

Making a Call

You must make outbound calls through the application. These calls are routed through the Smarsh recording gateway and placed with your native mobile number. The receiver will see your phone number when they receive a call.

You can initiate a call in one of the following ways:

  • Access the Calls section from the home screen:

    • Select or search for a contact and tap the phone icon to initiate a call.

    • Tap the keypad icon and enter the phone number directly to initiate a call.

  • On the Contact Info screen, tap the phone icon to initiate a call.

Receiving a Call

When a caller calls your phone number, the call is forwarded to your Smarsh Capture Mobile enterprise number. You will receive the call on Voice Call Capture and the call is recorded.

Note

To receive calls at all times, ensure that you have enabled the permission to display Voice Call Capture notifications over other apps.

Voicemail

Unanswered calls will reach your voicemail. When a call is unanswered:

  • A missed call is logged in the Calls screen.

  • A voicemail is created if the caller records a message.

  1. Tap Voicemail to view all unanswered calls.

  2. Tap any voicemail to hear the recording.
