Configuring WeCom App for Privacy and Archiving

Applicable to Administrators

Prerequisite: Before initiating the integration between your WeCom admin account and the Smarsh Mobile Capture, you will need to obtain the Smarsh admin account username and password from your account manager.

To configure WeCom app for privacy:

  1. In the WeCom admin portal, click Security and Management > Management Tool > Message archiving.

  2. Click Setting corresponding to Public key for message encryption.

  3. Click Obtain SMS Message to receive a verification code.

  4. Enter the verification code received through SMS in the Enter the verification code box and click Verify Now.

    The
    Set public key for message encryption section is displayed.

  5. Log in to the Smarsh Capture Mobile integration portal.

  6. Locate the security key window at the top of the screen.

  7. Copy the security key.

  8. Navigate to the Set public key for message encryption section in the WeCom admin console.

  9. Paste the copied security key and click Save.

  10. In the Smarsh Capture Mobile integration portal, fill the following fields with the information retrieved from the WeCom admin portal:

    1. WeCom App ID: Enter the WeCom app ID.

    2. Your Company Name: Enter your company name. To retrieve company name, on the WeCom Admin console, navigate to My Company.  

    3. Security key version: Enter the security key version. To retrieve security key version:

      1. On the WeCom Admin console, click Security and Management > Management Tool > Message archiving.

      2. Scroll down and copy the version number corresponding to Public key for message encryption.

    4. Message Archiving Secret: Enter the secret key. To retreive message archiving seat:

      1. On the WeCom Admin console, click Security and Management > Management Tool > Message archiving.

      2. Scroll down and click View corresponding to Secret.

      3. Click Send to send Secret to WeCom Mobile App.

      4. Open WeCom Mobile app to check message from WeCom team, and click View Now to view and copy the Secret.

    5. Contacts Secret: Enter the contacts secret. To retrieve the contacts secret:

      1. On the WeCom Admin console, click Security and Management > Management Tool > Sync of Contacts.

      2. Click View corresponding to Secret.

    6. Customer Contacts Secret: Enter the customer contacts secret. To retrieve customer contacts secret:

      1. On the WeCom Admin console, click Customers and Partners.

      2. Click the API icon. The section is expanded.

      3. Click View corresponding to Secret.

      4. Copy the secret.

    7. Click Save & Start.
