Prev Next

WhatsApp Phone Capture allows you to receive and initiate voice and video calls with multiple participants in one of the following ways:

Group Call

To initiate a group call:

  1. Open a group chat in the app.

  2. Tap the video or voice call icon within the group.

  3. Tap  to confirm the call.

Conference Call

To initiate a conference call:

  1. When engaged in a 1:1 call, tap the add participant icon.

  2. Select the participant(s) and tap Add to Call.

This results in a conference call.

When the group or conference voice or video calls are archived, the TO header displays all the participants in the call.

Limitations

  • If a user leaves a group or conference call and re-joins the same call, the call and call logs are not captured for the user after re-joining the call.

  • If one of the non-archiving participants leaves and re-joins the call, the activity is not displayed in the archive.

  • If some group/conference participants ignore a group/conference call, the participants are still displayed in the recipients list.
