WhatsApp allows users to edit their outgoing messages in one-to-one and group chats. Messages can be edited within the first 15 minutes after sending the message.
Note
Broadcast messages cannot be edited.
To edit a sent message:
Tap and hold the message to be edited.
Tap Edit.

An edit dialog to edit the message appears.

Edit the message and tap Send.
The resulting corrected message is displayed with the Edited tag.

Editing a Message Multiple Times
Capture Mobile uses the Message_ID as an anchor for edited messages. When a message is edited multiple times, for each edited message archived, the Original Message ID is the same. The Original Message ID is displayed with the Edited Message ID in the archive.

Note
For attachments larger than 25 MB, the attachment is not archived. However, the archive includes explanation about the size limits.
