Verizon Capture is a communication management solution for government agencies and enterprises. Network Carrier Capture seamlessly integrates with the Verizon network, and offers powerful features for capturing and archiving SMS and MMS. It is designed to meet strict regulatory requirements and enhance operational transparency while offering comprehensive capture, archiving and monitoring features for company-issued mobile devices.
Smarsh directly integrates with the Verizon network to capture mobile communication for provisioned company employee phones at the network level. Messages flow through the Smarsh archive router and are forwarded to the organization's archive.
Verizon Capture Workflow
The following section explains the Verizon capture workflow:
You can provision the employees by contacting Smarsh and sharing the required information. Smarsh then shares the details with Verizon for provisioning.
Employees can be enrolled or registered for Verizon Capture through either the company admin portal or sharing the information in .xlsx format.
Network Carrier Capture audits mobile communication for provisioned company employee phones from Verizon.
Messages flow through the Network Carrier Capture archiver router and are forwarded to the company’s enterprise archive.
Messages are deleted from Network Carrier Capture once archived.

Smarsh does not store or archive any customer communication. We only save the user or employee details required to provision and activate the service. All archived messages flow through the Smarsh's archive router and sent to organization's archive.
Verizon Message Archive Frequency
Messages from the Verizon network are not received in real time. Instead, messages are captured from the Verizon network at fixed timeslots each day.
Verizon retains captured messages for up to 5 days. The message retrieval process occurs as follows:
Messages for the previous day are captured between 08:00 - 13:55 UTC.
Older messages (from the previous 4 days, excluding the previous day) are captured between 00:00 - 06:50 UTC. This timeslot is used if the first timeslot is insufficient to capture all messages or if errors or issues occur, requiring a reattempt to retrieve messages on subsequent days.
