Functions Exclusive to WeCom Internal and Customer Group functions

In both WeCom internal and customer groups, you can:

  • Share digital materials such as images or videos from their phone's Album.

  • Access the phone camera to take and share photos or videos.

  • Share Documents, Files, or Contact Cards.

  • Create and share Calendar entries and interact with other users via Quick Meeting and Live Streaming.

Note

  • Most functions are subject to archiving, except for Live Streaming. For Quick Meeting, only the record of who initiated the video call and its duration are archived, not the call's status or video recording.

  • Several other functions are available only for specific group types.

Function Exclusive to WeCom Internal Groups

Only within WeCom Internal Groups can users:

  • Make direct Voice Calls

  • Draft Articles

  • Initiate Polls or Votes

  • Schedule Appointments

Articles and Voice calls can be archived, including audio recordings (subject to the terms of the Archiving subscription plan). For Votes and Appointments, only the initial message is archived, not the result.

Functions Exclusive to WeCom Customer Groups

Only within WeCom customer groups you can access WeChat group functions such as creating Group Notes and Collecting or Receiving Payments. These types of messages cannot be archived. A Group Note is a WeChat Group function enabling you to start a list (for example, an RSVP list). The Payment function is only available to users in China and requires connecting a Chinese bank card to the WeChat account.
