Applicable to End Users on Android Devices
The Android Operating System allows applications to receive messages and calls when the app is in the background. WhatsApp Phone Capture makes use of this service to archive messages in near real-time.
You must enable this service in your device's App Settings. To enable:
During new installation or upgrade, a Permission Required pop-up appears requesting you to enable the permission in your device's App Settings.
Tap OK.
Note
If you tap Cancel, the pop-up appears each time you open the app until you enable the permission.
You are redirected to Alarms & reminders in App Settings.
Toggle Allow permission to enable the permission.
Note
If you do not enable Allow permission, the pop-up is displayed at least once every 24 hours, from the time of the first pop-up, until you enable the permission.
