Applicable to End Users
This document explains the archiving disclaimer displayed to WeChat users when communicating with a WeCom user who has mandatory archiving enabled. The disclaimer informs you about potential message archiving and your options to respond.
Disclaimer Content
The following Disclaimer is displayed:
In order to protect your legitimate rights and interests and service quality, the content of this conversation may be archived by the other party's enterprise. If you don't agree, you can refuse to archive. Check the service instructions.

Options
Once you see the disclaimer, you can:
Click the Read More for more details.

Click the green Continue button for English translation and additional information about archiving or to disallow archiving.

Click Disagree with message archiving to refuse archiving.

Important Notes
If you do not click Read More or click Read More and do not disagree, you are agreeing to archiving by default and the archived chats indication is displayed on top of each thread:

If you disagree, an orange notification on the chat screen is displayed on top of the WeCom Chat screena and inside the thread indicating your disagreement.

As a consequence of disagreeing, communication functionalities such as sending messages and calls may be disabled between WeChat and WeCom users.

You can later choose to accept archiving by clicking Change to Agree and re-opening the chat for communication. However, once you agree to archiving, you cannot revert your decision.

Groups
For WeCom groups initiated by WeCom users, any external contact who disagrees with archiving will be automatically removed from the group.
In WeChat groups where WeCom users are members, disagreeing with archiving will not remove you from the group, but your outgoing messages will not be archived.
