Users can create groups in Capture Mobile for WhatsApp Business to collaborate with internal users on customer conversations. An internal group can include one WhatsApp contact (customer) and up to 249 internal users.
Note
Only users with supported app versions can be added to WhatsApp groups. Users must have a version later than:
Android 5.04.12 (build 50412)
iOS 5.7.21
Creating a New Group
To create a group:
Open the app and tap the
(Compose Message) icon.The New WhatsApp screen is displayed.
Tap New Group.
The contacts list displays WhatsApp contacts first, followed by internal users. An Int label identifies all internal users.
Search or select one WhatsApp contact.
Search or select internal user.
Tap the
icon to create the group.
A group conversation follows the same logic of one-to-one conversations.
A user from the group must initiate a conversation with a template.
After a user sends a template, other users cannot send another template for two hours.
Users can send messages only in an active conversation.
The external user in the group can initiate a conversation by sending a message.
Starting a Group Chat from a One-to-One Conversation
You can also start a group chat from a one-to-one conversation by selecting Start a group chat in the chat menu. The contact from the one-to-one chat is automatically added to the new group.
