This topic explains how to create groups.
WeChat Groups
To create a WeChat group:
Tap the plus button (+) in the upper right corner.

Tap New Chat.
Select the contacts to invite from the lists of WeChat and WeCom Contacts.

Tap Done.
When you click horizontal ellipsis, group members can:
Invite (+) or Uninvite(–) users. Any Group Member can invite users, while the Uninvite or Remove option is exclusive to the Group Admin.
Modify the group's name. This option can be disabled by the Group Admin.
Broadcast a Group Notice to everyone in the group. Only the Group Admin can edit.
Modify their alias within the group. For instance: name + business or department, example, ABC | Content

WeCom (Internal) Group
WeCom Groups, created by WeCom users, aim to enhance internal communication within organizations. Each group can accommodate up to 2,000 members and is exclusively for WeCom users.
To create a new chat:
Tap the plus button (+) at the top right.

Select New Chat
Tap the contacts/colleagues you want to invite.

Note
The group becomes a customer or external group if any external users, such as WeChat users, are invited to join.
When you tap horizontal ellipsis, group members can:
Invite (+)/Uninvite(–) users
View all group members
Change the Group Chat Name (if enabled by the admin or owner)
View and share the Group QR code to invite other users
Broadcast a Group Notice to everyone in the group (if enabled by the admin or Owner)

When you tap Group Management, the Group Admin or Owner can:

Manage permissions for group members to edit Group Name, Notice, or Invites
Turn on or off owner verifications for inviting new users
Manage @All permissions to enable or disable sending a broadcast message that notifies all members
Configure banned words in the group
Assign Group admins
Transfer Group Ownership to another group member

WeCom Customer or External Group
WeCom customer or external group is designed for both WeCom and WeChat users, facilitating communication between organizational users and their external customers. It offers various tools and functions to enhance interaction. The maximum size of a WeCom customer group is 500 members.
A WeCom (internal) group will automatically transition to a WeChat customer group once external (WeChat) users are invited to join the group.
To create a WeCom customer or external group:
Tap Workspace at the bottom.

Tap Customer Group.
Tap Create a customer group.

By tapping the horizontal ellipsis, the group admin or owner can:
Edit the group name.
View or share the group QR code.
Invite (+) or uninvite (–) users. (Any group member can invite users, while the uninvite/remove option is exclusive to the group admin/owner.)
Broadcast a group notice to everyone in the group.
Access group management options (applicable only to admin/owner).
