Messages sent or received while the mobile app was running in the background were not archived for users who installed or upgraded to version 14.100012.17.
Note
This issue was addressed in version 14.100012.27 release on October 9, 2024.
Fix:
The code is modified to re-archive all messages sent or received while the mobile app was running in the background for users who installed or upgraded to version 14.100012.17. The fix initiates re-archiving of historical messages from the release date of version 14.100012.17 (June 26, 2024) up to the installation or upgrade date of the current version.
As a result of this fix, admins might see earlier messages starting from June 26, 2024 in the archive. Admins are notified with a system event, with the following subject, in the archive at the start and completion of the re-archiving process:
Event | Subject |
|---|---|
Start of re-archiving | System event - re-archiving process initiated |
Re-archiving complete | System event - re-archiving process complete |
Note
The fix archives all messages sent or received from the release date of version 14.100012.17 (June 26, 2024) up to the installation or upgrade date of the current version, ensuring no data is lost.
The fix archives text messages, call logs, and media attachments. If media attachments are not available, only the file name and type are archived.
If a user had uninstalled and reinstalled the app for any reason, all messages from the user are re-archived resulting in duplicates in the archive.
