Capture Mobile offers several security levels to enhance the protection of your mobile communication data:
Non-Secure SMTP (Least Secure): This is the most basic option where messages are transmitted in plain text, making them vulnerable to interception. You only need to provide your mailbox email address for this option.
Secure SMTP (Without Identification): This option utilizes a secure certificate on your mail server (similar to secure HTTPS websites). The certificate encrypts the data during transmission, preventing unauthorized access. You will need to provide your mailbox email address and inform Smarsh to use Secure SMTP for configuration.
Secure SMTP with Username and Password: This option offers a higher level of security by combining certificate encryption with username and password authentication. You will need to create a dedicated username and password for Capture Mobile to access your SMTP server. Provide Smarsh with your mailbox email address, confirmation of using Secure SMTP, and the credentials securely.
