WhatsApp Cloud Capture is enhanced to archive Announcements in WhatsApp Communities.

Limitations:

• View-once and Listen-once communication types are not archived.

• The following events are not archived for Comments (also called Replies) on Announcements in WhatsApp Communities as WhatsApp does not reflect the changes on a browser:

  • Delete for All

  • Deleting the Delete events.

Issue: When a user is invited to a group under a community, the Joined Group event for the user was not archived.

Fix: The code is modified to archive the Joined Group event when a user is invited to a group under a community.

UPDATE

Archiving incoming Status messages (also known as WhatsApp Stories) is temporarily disabled. The support for archiving incoming Status messages will be implemented in upcoming versions, providing archive administrators with enhanced control to enable or disable the feature.

ADDED

WhatsApp Cloud Capture is enhanced to archive the Status communication type. The subject in the archive is prefixed with STATUS to differentiate the Status communication type from a broadcast event.

When a user manually deletes a status, the event is archived as Deleted for All.

When a status expires after 24 hours, the event is not archived.

Issue: If an incoming message is the first message in a conversation, the message is archived as a View Once media event.

Fix: The code is modified to successfully archive the first message in a conversation thread.

ADDED

WhatsApp Cloud Capture is enhanced to manage View Once media. Due to privacy restrictions enforced by Meta, View Once media cannot be archived. However, users will now see the following generic message for such media:

The media was sent as 'View Once' by the sender and cannot be archived.

This update improves user awareness and ensures compliance with Meta's privacy policies. For more information, see Limitations.

WhatsApp Cloud Capture is enhanced to capture and archive the following WhatsApp Business communications:

• Sharing a product catalog with product images or videos, description, and price

• Creating orders

• Accepting or declining orders

• Sharing order status on WhatsApp Business.

This enhancement also captures and archives replies, reactions, and deletions on these communications.

Note

Product images and videos are not currently archived with WhatsApp Cloud Capture.

WhatsApp Cloud Capture is enhanced to capture and archive the WhatsApp communication called Events in WhatsApp groups. This enhancement captures and archives the following activities of an Event:

• Event creation 

  

• Response from recipients 

  

• Reactions on the event

• Editing the event

• Deleting the event

• Replying to the event

• Cancelling the event

Recipients can respond Going, Not Going, or Maybe (only on WhatsApp Web) to an Event. The recipients' response also includes the Event creator's response, which by default, is set to Going.
