Distributing the App Using AirWatch

Applicable to Administrators

This topic explains the steps to deploy WhatsApp Phone Capture using AirWatch MDM.

Adding New Devices to AirWatch

To add a new device to AirWatch:

1. Log in to AirWatch as an administrator.

2. Click Accounts > List View > Add > Add user.
   

3. Enter all the mandatory fields and click SAVE AND ADD DEVICE.
   

4. Click SAVE.
   
   A Welcome email is triggered to the account's email address. The email contains instructions about adding the device to the account through Intelligent Hub.

5. The ens user must perform the following:

   1. If the Welcome email does not display images, enable Download Pictures.
      

   2. Click the password link to reset the password.
      

   3. In the browser window, enter a new password and click Submit.
      

   4. Complete the registration process according to the instructions in the Welcome email.
      The user's account is completely set up.
      

6. Register the device through the Intelligent Hub mobile application.

Installing the Intelligent Hub Application

The Intelligent Hub mobile application allows admins to deploy the WhatsApp Phone Capture app to employee devices.

iOS Devices

1. Download and install the Intelligent Hub app from Apple Store.
   

2. Launch the app and select QR Code.
   

3. Scan the QR code in the Welcome email.

4. Enter your username and password, and tap Next.
   

5. Select your privacy selection and tap Next.
   

6. Enable notifications.
   

7. The mobile browser opens a profile installation page. Tap Allow.
   

8. After the profile downloads, tap Close.
   

9. Open iPhone settings, install and configure the downloaded management profile.

10. Return to the Intelligent Hub app and tap Done.
    

11. Create a 4-digit passcode and tap Next.
    

12. Confirm the password and tap I understand.
    

13. Tap I agree.
    

The Intelligent Hub is successfully installed on iOS and admins can now deploy the WhatsApp Phone Capture app.

Android Devices

1. Download and install Intelligent Hub from Google Play.
   

2. Tap QR CODE.

3. Allow all requested permissions.

4. Scan the QR code in the Welcome email.
    >  

5. Enter your username and password, and tap NEXT.
   

6. Tap I Understand.
   

7. Tap I Agree.
   

8. Tap NEXT > NEXT > ACTIVATE.

9. Enter a 4-digit passcode and  tap NEXT.
   

10. Tap NEXT > CONTINUE > NEXT.
    >   >  

11. Select if you want to add the app to the Home screen.
    

The Intelligent Hub is successfully installed on the Android device.

Creating an Assignment Group

1. Log in to AirWatch as an administrator.

2. Click GROUPS & SETTINGS ⮞ Groups ⮞ Assignment Groups ⮞ ADD SMART GROUP.
   

3. Click  DEVICES OR USERS and click OK on the warning popup.
   
   

4. Enter the user accounts for the group and click ADD.
   
   The user account is added to the group.
   

5. Enter the group name and click SAVE.
   

Distributing the App

1. Log in to AirWatch as an administrator.

2. Click APPS & BOOKS > Native > ADD APPLICATION.
   

3. Click UPLOAD.
   

4. Click Local File > Choose File.

5. Select the WhatsApp Phone Capture ipa or apk installation file and click SAVE.
   

6. Wait for the file to upload.
   

7. Click CONTINUE.
   

8. Click SAVE & ASSIGN.
   

9. Click ADD ASSIGNMENT.
   

10. Enter the assignment group and click ADD.
    

11. Click SAVE AND PUBLISH.
    

12. Click PUBLISH.
    

    The application is added to the application list.

13. Click the WhatsApp TELEMESSAGE application.
    

14. Click DEVICE.
    

15. Select the devices to which you want to deploy the app click INSTALL.
    

16. Click OK.
    

The WhatsApp Phone Capture app is successfully deployed to mobile devices activated with Intelligent Hub.

Note

• In iOS devices, a pop-up window is displayed. The employee must click Install to install the application.

• In Android devices, the application installs automatically.
