On the Admin Portal, you can add, update, and delete multiple users at a time using an Excel or CSV file.
Adding Users
On the Admin Portal, you can add multiple users at a time using a sample Excel file. To import users:
Log in to the admin portal as an administrator.
Click the User Management tab.
Click Bulk Actions > Add Users.
The Add Users from File pop-up appears.
In the Service Level drop-down, select the service level of the users that you want to add.
(Optional) If you are importing users for the first time, click Download Sample File. A sample Excel file is downloaded. Based on the service level selected, the columns in the sample file varies. For information on the columns in the sample file, see Sample Excel File.
Click Choose File and select the Excel file with user details.
Important
You can import a maximum of 2500 users from one Excel file.
Click Open to upload the file. A summary with the number of users identified in the file is displayed.

Note
If the number of users in the Excel file exceeds 2500, an error message is displayed. Split the file into smaller batches with a maximum of 2500 users in each file and retry.

If you upload the wrong excel file or an empty file, the following error message is displayed:

Click Add.
A progress bar appears displaying the number of users imported and the estimated time remaining for the rest to be imported.

Note
You can continue working as users are imported.
If you try to log out or close the browser before all users are imported, a warning message is displayed.

After all users are imported from the Excel file, a summary with the status of the import is displayed.
The users are imported to the admin portal and displayed in the User Management page.
If the Excel file contains issues with user details, the affected users are not imported. Instead, a pop-up appears on the admin portal, allowing administrators to review the errors in the file. Only correctly formatted entries are processed, while those with errors are excluded. To proceed, review the error messages and correct the details before reattempting the import.
Open the errors file to view the error. The Errors column in the file displays the errors (if any) against each user.

Note
You can import users only from one file at a time. If you try to import users from a second file while an import is in progress, the message "Please wait until the current action is complete before starting a new action" is displayed.
Sample Excel File
Based on the service level selected, the Excel file has the following columns:

Updating Users
You can bulk update users to modify the first name, last name, and email addresses of multiple users simultaneously.
To update users:
Log in to the admin portal as an administrator.
Click the User Management tab.
Click Bulk Actions > Update Users.
The Update Users from File pop-up appears.
Click Download Sample File. A sample Excel file is downloaded. The file to update user information has the following fields:
username: The username entered in the file must match the existing accounts.
firstname, lastname, and email: These fields can be modified. For more information on removing email addresses in bulk, see Removing Email Addresses in Bulk.

Click Choose File and select the Excel file with user details to update.

If you attempt to perform any other bulk action while the progress bar is active, the following error message is displayed:
After all users to be updated are imported from the Excel file, a summary with the status of the import is displayed.
The users are updated and displayed in the User Management page.
If the Excel file contains issues with the entered user details, the affected users are not processed. Instead, a pop-up appears on the admin portal, providing an option to review the errors in the file.
Clearing Email Addresses in Bulk
You can remove email addresses in bulk by entering [CLEAR] (not case-sensitive) in the Email column of the update file. By using [CLEAR], you can efficiently clear email addresses without manually editing each user profile. [CLEAR] is case-insensitive, clear, Clear, or CLEAR all work the same way.

When [CLEAR] is entered in the Email Address column of the update file, the existing email address is removed and the field is left empty. Other user details in the same row are updated as usual.
If the Email Address column is left empty (without [CLEAR]), the current email address of the user is retained.
If a row contains both [CLEAR] and other valid updates (for example, First Name, Last Name), only the email address is cleared, while other details are updated.
[CLEAR] cannot be used in any other column. If [CLEAR] is used in a column other than Email, the following error is displayed:

If [CLEAR] is combined with an invalid email format (for example, [CLEAR]test@example.com), the following error is displayed:

Deleting Users
You can delete multiple users simultaneously using the Delete Users option under Bulk Actions.
To delete users:
Log in to the admin portal as an administrator.
Click the User Management tab.
Click Bulk Actions > Delete Users.
The Delete Users from File pop-up appears.
Click Download Sample File. A sample Excel file is downloaded. The file to delete users has the username field. The username entered in the file must match the existing accounts.
Enter the usernames to be deleted in the excel file and save it.

Click Choose File and select the Excel file with user details to delete.
Click Open to upload the file. A summary with the number of users identified in the file is displayed.

Note
If you upload the wrong excel file or an empty file, the following error message is displayed.

Click Delete.
A progress bar appears, showing the number of users updated and the estimated time remaining for the rest of the updates to complete.

The users are deleted from the User Management page.
