Overview

Smarsh partners with SnippetSentry to archive iMessage data from corporate-owned and BYOD devices. The solution is a two-step process:

1. SnippetSentry captures the iMessage data and sends the data to Capture Mobile using Smarsh APIs.

2. Capture Mobile then relays the data to Professional Archive using Partner APIs.

Important

Smarsh supports archiving iMessage data to Professional Archive through Capture Mobile. However, Capture Mobile does not directly capture iMessage data.

To capture iMessage data, you must purchase the capture solution from SnippetSentry. The captured data can then be archived to Professional Archive through Capture Mobile.

You can use this solution when:

• Your organization needs to archive iMessage communications.

• Your employees use iOS devices for communication.

• Your organization supports corporate-owned and BYOD devices.

To archive iMessage data:

1. Contact SnippetSentry to enable capturing iMessage data.

2. Contact your Smarsh representative or Account Executive to create a Capture Mobile account for your organization.

3. Onboard users to Capture Mobile.

4. View archived messages in Professional Archive.
