The Messenger App settings affect all employees in the organization.

Mobile App Settings

These settings impact how employees use the Mobile Capture application on their mobile phones.

Signature

A signature is a personalized block of text that is appended to a message. Appending a signature to messages increases the character count of the message. A signature is not displayed in the message composer.

An admin can set the signature message for all employees in the organization. To set the signature message at a company level:

  1. Log in to the admin portal as an administrator.

  2. Click Settings > Messenger App Settings.

  3. In the Signature/Disclaimer section, enter the signature message in the Signature box.

  4. Set when the signature message must be displayed:

    • Off: No signature is appended to messages. This is the default option.

    • Always: The signature is automatically appended to each message.

    • First message in thread: The signature is automatically appended to the first message sent in a thread.

    • Daily: The signature is added daily to the first message sent in a thread.

  5. Select the Override user's personal settings check box to override the signature set by the employees on the Capture Mobile Messenger application.

Mobile Messaging Limitations

To set limitations on messages sent from mobile devices:

  • Select Restrict IP messaging between co-workers in your company for employees who do not communicate with people outside the organizations, such as customers.

  • Select Allow IP messaging with co-workers outside your company to allow employees to communicate with anyone within and outside the organization. By default, this option is selected.

PIN Code Enforcement

This setting enforces all employees to enter a PIN code to open the Capture Mobile Messenger application on their mobile devices.

  1. Log in to the admin portal as an administrator.

  2. Click Settings > Messenger App Settings.

  3. In the Application Lock Enforcement section, enable the checkbox.

Message Self Destruction Enforcement

This setting enforces all communication on the Capture Mobile Messenger application to happen using IP. SMS fallback is disabled. Also, all communications are deleted from the employees' devices after the set duration.

  1. Log in to the admin portal as an administrator.

  2. Click Settings > Messenger App Settings.

  3. In the Message Self-Destruct Enforcement section, enable the checkbox.

  4. Set the duration after which the messages must be deleted.

Security Options

Select security options for users' Capture Mobile Messenger application:

  • Disable Screen Capture (Android only): This option prevents Android users from taking screen captures while actively using the Capture Mobile Messenger application. This setting is not applicable for iOS users.

  • Disable Copy: This option prevents all users from copying content displayed on the screen while actively using the Capture Mobile Messenger application.

  • Disable Share Media: This option prevents all users from sharing media (pictures, files, video) through email or other applications.

  • Disable Notification’s Preview: This option prevents the Capture Mobile Messenger application from pushing message content preview to the device’s notification center.

  • Disable Attachments: This option prevents all users from sharing message attachments sent to them through the Capture Mobile Messenger app.

  • Disable Local Contacts: This option prevents all users from accessing contacts stored locally on the device. Users can only access and send messages from the Capture Mobile Messenger app to the following contacts:

    • Contacts in the global address list.

    • Contacts inherited from the Admin.

    • Contacts created by the user with the application.

  • Disable Native Phone Dialer (Text Only Account): This option prevents all users from accessing the native device dialer while actively using the Capture Mobile Messenger application.

  • Disable Back Up and Restore: This option prevents all users from:

    • Taking a backup of the app and its associated data (encrypted on Google Drive or iCloud).

    • Restoring data from a previously created backup.

  • Disable Distribution of New Versions: This option prevents users from downloading and installing new versions of the Capture Mobile Messenger application (from Apple App Store or Android Play Store). This option is applicable to clients using MDM distribution in their organization.

Global Address Book

Select the display options for contacts in the global address book:

  • Display Mobile Number: Displays the mobile number of contacts in the global address book.

  • Display Email: Displays the email address of contacts in the global address book.

Voice Calls

If your organization is recording voice calls, you can select one of the following broadcast options to let employees know that their calls are recorded:

  • Play the "This Call is Recorded" message three seconds after the call is answered.

  • Play a beep every 120 seconds of the call. The beep frequency can be customized.

User Settings

These settings are default for all the employees.

  1. Log in to the admin portal as an administrator.

  2. Click Settings > Messenger App Settings > User Settings.

  3. The following settings are displayed:

    • Company name: This is displayed in the employees contacts list.

    • Country': The default country association. This is essential to determine the default country code to be added for outgoing messages. This setting can be changed by the admin.

    • Language: The default language of the web interface. This setting can be changed by the admin.

    • Time Zone: The default time zone in which messages are displayed in the admin portal. This setting can be changed by the admin.
