CHANGED

The application name is changed from Android Archiver to Android Capture. The name change is reflected in Google Play Store and the list of applications in a mobile device.

FIXED

  • Issue: Android Capture archived voice calls with only call logs, excluding the call recording.
This behavior was observed when there was a delay in saving the call recording to the call records folder or when the wrong call recording folder was selected.
Fix: The issue is resolved to archive all call recordings that are placed to the correct call records folder, irrespective of the delay in creating the recording.

  • Issue: Android Capture failed to archive some MMS messages if the user did not download the attachment(s).
Fix: The issue is resolved to archive MMS messages irrespective of when the user downloads the attachment(s). If the user does not download the attachment even after 24 hours, the MMS message is archived with only the text message, if any.

CHANGED

  • Android Capture is enhanced to re-archive messages, call recordings, and call logs. To re-archive data using Android Capture, you must contact your Account Manager or raise an onboarding ticket. The application can re-archive data:

    • Up to past six months from the date of request for active users.

    • From the past two months prior to app installation. For example, if a user installs the Android Capture app on March 1 and re-archive is requested, the application re-archives all data from January 1.

  • Android Capture is enhanced to archive all call recordings that are placed to the call records folder, irrespective of the call duration, delay in creating the recording, or the file size of the call recording. When the call recording is archived, the archived item is marked as a Delayed Archive in the email body. An example is shown below:

  • Android Capture is enhanced to archive MMS messages irrespective of when the user downloads the attachment(s).

    • If the user downloads the attachment(s) within an hour of receiving the message, the message is archived with the attachment(s).

    • If the user downloads the attachment(s) after an hour and within 24 hours of receiving the message, the MMS message is archived with the message "Delayed archive due to delay in downloading the media." The email also references the original message in the email body.

    • If the user downloads the attachment(s) after 24 hours of receiving the message, the MMS message is archived with the message "Delayed archive due to un-downloaded media." The email also references the original message in the email body.

Note

If an MMS message contains text and attachment, and the user does not download the attachment after 24 hours, only the text is archived.

If the user downloads the media after 24 hours, the media is archived as an MMS message with reference to original message ID.
